SumAll Releases: All The Fish In The Sea
What an exciting few months!
Since our beta release, we've been busy at work collecting feedback from users, making improvements, adding features to our platform, and planning for the future.
We quickly realized that we needed a mechanism in place to track these periodic updates, and we've decided as a group that that mechanism will be fish!
We actually have SumAll releases and updates every single week, however, every few weeks or so we initiate a larger release. Each of these larger releases will be alphabetically named after a diffierent type of fish. Thankfully, we have a gigantic fish tank ino our office, because pretty soon that sucker is going to start filling up!
We dubbed our first release "Angel" for Angel fish, our second was appropriately named "Beta" for Beta fish, and today we are announcing our Clown fish release.
Here are a few of the updates we've made:
WEEKLY SUMMARY E-MAILS
We will now be sending you a weekly report email that summarizes a number of your key stats, as well as a meaningful insight about your e-commerce business. We will continue to fine-tune and improve the data included in this email, and eventually you will be able to to set up your own schedule, specific alerts, and other bits of info you might want to track.
INSIGHTS
We have greatly increased the depth and number of available insights that you're able to track for your business. For example, SumAll now watches your data for changes in your customers' spending by customer type (new v. old for example). These new insights are also "smart" in that they will learn from your behavior and with each click, will become more and more meaningful for you. There is also a new setting where you can choose how many insights you want to see at one time.
ANALYTICS
Our core mission now is ensuring that we get the usability right for SumAll. To that end, we have added tons of hooks across our application to see if our features are being discovered, and when/where the experiance breaks. We hope to use this information as a primary source for direction as we consider updates/changes to our features and offerings.
BACKEND
This one is little worry for you, and that's how we want to keep it. With this release we have refactored much of the system in order to create improved data checks and scalability.
As always, let us know if you have any feedback or encounter any issues!
