Sandy Aftermath and How to Help
Just over two weeks ago Hurricane Sandy battered the Eastern Seaboard leaving catastrophic damage in its wake. Hundreds of thousands without power, houses and communities destroyed, and lives lost. Lower Manhattan was effectively in darkness for a week while portions of the country are still without power today as a result of the storm. It's easy to forget people are still enduring the aftermath of Sandy if you're back to your normal routine. But there are people still struggling, who've had their homes literally carried out to sea and need basic supplies like hats, coats, and food items.
SumAll.org was established with the mantra to do good by doing right. With ten percent of SumAll's ownership allocated to our non-profit, SumAll.org is not only an extension of our company philosophy, but a continuation of the values every individual possesses who works here. When we saw the destruction the storm caused we decided to set up our office as a haven for donations. In our first week we received an overwhelming response with people dropping off a wide range of essential items. Because of the success, we're continuing to accept donations for the victims of Sandy to help in every way we can. To learn more, visit SumAll.org.
