Devoted Dads Are on the Rise

Ten years ago it would have been hard to imagine dads spending less time at the office and more time at home. The stereotypical workaholic dad who devotes more time to their job than their family is still a strongly pervasive archetype seen in all types of popular media. But after extensive research, we found that dad’s role is profoundly changing.

Dads are spending even more time, energy, and money on their children today than ever before. In hard numbers, there has been a 10 percent increase in the amount of time dads spend caring for their kids. This averages out to 7 more hours per week than a decade ago.

Even though it seems like more people are hooked to their gadgets than ever, our data shows that dads are spending 4 times more time with their kids than they are watching TV, tinkering with their tablets, or checking sports scores on their phone than 10 years ago.

Check out our infographic below for more information on how dads are investing more in their kids.
